Cool Tool Review #7: How to bring Visitors back to your Website and Increase Sales by Retargeting them – with Arjun Dev Arora

Posted by Owen McGab Enaohwo

Something awesome happened to me recently! I started noticing that several websites I had visited previously seemed to follow me around as I browsed other sites. Literally, I kept seeing banner ads, text ads and in some cases listening to radio ads for sites I had visited. I started thinking that there had to be a reason for this because I was sure it was no coincidence.

I immediately put on my “research hat” and dug up the gold behind the technology; it is called “Retargeting”; which according to my Encylopedia of choice Wikipedia “is a form of online targeted advertising by which online advertising is delivered to consumers based on previous Internet actions that did not in the past result in a conversion (in other words, the actions intended by the site owner, which typically include subscribing to an email list, registering for membership with a website, and/or making a purchase).”

In simple English, imagine being able to get your website visitors back to your website and increase sales! When I realized the awesomeness of this technology I had to find an expert in this niche to come on the show and share the benefits of retargeting with the community, I also needed to learn how to serve my ads to my website visitors after they have left my site. This is why I interviewed Arjun Dev Arora; the CEO and Founder of Retargeter, a simple and affordable self-serve display retargeting platform. Enjoy the interview!
